Ross BW Final.jpgSince the 1980s, Bob Ross has worked on the political economy of urban development and the analysis of global capitalism at Clark University. He still does occasional work on the social movements of the 1960s, and is frequently interviewed about his role in those movements. Bob has worked as a speechwriter and policy advisor, and he writes occasional commentary for magazines. In 1995, he began research on the resurgence of sweatshops in the U.S. and global apparel industry, and he has given over 100 public lectures on the issue. His work on this topic has been published in The Nation, Foreign Affairs, Dollars and Sense, as well as a number of edited collections of research on globalization. Bob's book, Slaves to Fashion: Poverty and Abuse in the New Sweatshops, was published in 2004.

aria.jpg

Aria came to Ethix straight from the University of Michigan, where she joined a firestorm of student anti-sweatshop activism. As a student leader, she used sit-ins, demonstrations, and letter-writing campaigns to pressure the university to actually enforce its stated policy against sweatshops. She also created the Fair Tees program to connect student groups with sweatfree t-shirts. Nothing good ever comes easy. ...Read more about Aria's success @ UM

Aria spearheads Solidarity eXchange, which will empower students and individuals across the country to change the morally-bankrupt global apparel industry through entrepreneurship.

daniel.jpgA notorious bleeding heart and a perennial activist/volunteer (and a UC Berkeley English major, to top it all off), Daniel is surprised to find himself so strongly attached to the idea of changing the world through business. He believes that when Business focuses equally on the three Ps (People, Planet, Profit), we may finally be able to move beyond "crisis mode" and create a truly spectacular world for everyone.
